Poor care poor staff in emergency departments waited for 11 h to see Dr disappointed . Is save to stay at home
A frightening and triggering experience. No explanation as to cause of my excruciating left sided pain. was told test results were normal and refused CT scan the doctor originally suggested himself. Visited GP in the morning to request CT scan which they were happy to do. However advised test results were NOT in normal range but raised and CT scan referral will take weeks so sent me back to A & E to be faced with an extremely rude, aggressive and patronising nurse who insisted a CT scan was not required and I should return t... read more
We have been waiting for more than 4 hrs to be seen by a doctor.
Was really impressed at Barnet A&E today and wanted to say a thank you to the staff. I had a long wait of over 4 hours but when I was seen the Doctor, whose name is Beatrice, was very kind, helpful, sensitive and knowledgeable. She was very thorough and spent a lot of her precious time with me. She arranged a CT scan for me then saw me afterwards with little waiting time. Arrived 2.15am. First person you see is awful receptionist. Didn't even say 'hello' , just got on with booking me in with absolutely no human contact at all. People are scared and vulnerable otherwise they would not be going to A&E in the night, a bit of kindness is essential I would have thought. The triage nurse equally as cold. After that no complaints. Had 2 ECg and bloods and doctors, nurses, assistants really nice. Very long time there 12 hours! Not their fault.
