The first of three Barley's built in the South, this neighborhood pub is the place to come for a casual night out with friends. The decor is typical pool hall, but here this is appropriate. There are several pool tables as well and dartboards around for entertainment while patrons sample the ales, stouts and pilsners. The pizza choices go far beyond pepperoni; toppings include sun-dried tomatoes, andouille sausage and tofu.

Good pizza – We were in Asheville for a vacation but my friend who used to live in Asheville recommend this place. I was happy she did. The pizza was very good and the prices were reasonable. For those who love to try new beers, definitely check out the place. The only problem was the service. The waitress felt bad for us as we had a to wait a long time for the pizza, so she comped us the drinks. We will return to the restaurant if we ever go back to Asheville.
Best Pizza and Best Beer selection in Asheville – This place is consistently packed for dinner on the weekends. They serve up big slices of chewy crust pizza with a savory sauce, and really good/fresh toppings. They have all the basic toppings and more - like soy cheese, wheat crust, sundried tomatoes, and eggplant. My fave is mushroom/sundried tomato/italian sausage, no cheese and extra sauce.
