Has anyone ever broken down between cities far away from their usual mechanic? Well Rob at Bagara Automotive in Bundaberg whom I was referred to take my vehicle after having been mucked around in a few other places, he looked after me like I had been a customer for years! No joke, he was able to determine the cause immediately, found another serious issue and could have purchased a new part for big $$$ but was able to repair it properly for a fraction of the cost. Customer service was god-awful. I booked my car in for a service due to a screeching sound in my front tire. I was then told I was to be verified when inspection was completed. My mother went in 20 minutes before closing time to see if the owner was done as I did NOT receive any verification, and the owner was very arrogant towards my mother and told her nothing was wrong with my car, he was incredibly disrespectful and absolutely belittled my poor mother. Took my car in for issues with my clutch. Was expecting a large bill but was extremely cheap. Very professional service and clear with price and timing. Apologised for taking so long even when it was quicker than expected. Stayed open late to finish my car before the weekend. Just noticed he also fixed a couple of other little things within charging me or mentioning it. Great bloke, great price and great communication. Refreshing to find an honest mechanic
Took our car in cause it was accelerating funny, Steve claimed the problem was the spark plugs, so we got them fixed, one day later after getting it back had the same issue, so we took it back, he said the issue was a broken clip and said he fixed it, charged $70 to fix the clip only to find how he fixed it was by using 4 cable ties and while they were fixing that they broke the engine cover, snapped it and lost the grommets so it wasn’t even clipped on, when I told him about it he said “we break things on cars all the time,... read more
