Very nice guys running this shop. Dennis is an old school mechanic who used to work at Two Wheels One Planet, and has raced and worked on bikes all his life. James is his right hand man. I had a quick need to get my bike looked over and to swap out some pedals before a trip. They took care of me on the spot and were fair about it. They have some affordably priced e-bikes as as well if you are in the market for one.
If you’re in Costa Mesa and you need a bike shop that genuinely feels like a hidden gem, Barcelo Bicycles is the place. Dennis and his team are absolutely fantastic mechanics who have a real passion for bikes. It might not look like much from the outside, but once you’re in, you’re in for a treat. WOW! Service is where it’s at. First time customer here and I’ve found my shop! Caught a flat on my way to the gym. Dennis had me back on the road within 35 min; he even showed me how he was fixing it and what to look out for if I ever wanted to try on my own. Outstanding customer service! I don’t hope to have bike issues but if I do, I’m coming back. Thanks again!!
Dennis and James always take excellent care of me with a fantastic turn around time. I ride a LOT of mileage and I would never be able to stay on the road every day and night without their help. Being on Campagnolo makes me a tricky customer, but thankfully they have a lifetime of experience with the signature Italian cycling brand.
