I had such a fantastic experience at Barberino’s in New York. I originally walked in planning to spend about 30 minutes or so, and ended up staying for an hour and a half without even noticing the time. From the moment I entered, it truly felt like stepping into Italy right on Madison Avenue. I was offered an espresso coffee, had a warm and genuine conversation, and even had the pleasure of listening to Ornella Vanoni and Lucio Dalla while getting my haircut. Disappointed. Prior barber wasn’t on the schedule so I went to Francesco based on excellent reviews. It might be the language difficultly but he did not listen to me at all cutting the hair too short and too fast and not saying anything when I said that I didn’t like it . When spending $95 for a haircut , I expect much more than a 10 minute haircut . He really just tried to get me off the chair in 10 minutes as there was another client booked for the same time.
