Barbell Standard™, is the most recognized Cast Iron plate brand in the World. In the 60's, plates were marked Barbell Standard simply to represent a set of specifications. Over the years many brands have used variations of the Barbell Standard/Standard Barbell name to sell their own cheap cast iron plates. Similarly to another recent review, I also had a bad experience 2 years ago with Barbell Standard and today, Jared, the new owner, absolutely blew expectations out of the water! My order from 2022 that was never fulfilled or refunded has been compensated above and beyond what I could have asked for. Highly recommend giving them another chance if you have been hesitant!
I am extremely happy that with the communication recently due to the new ownership of Barbell Standard. Jared, thank you for reaching out and making things right with my order that was miss handled 2 years ago. It was truly a surprise, and I could not be more satisfied with the conversation we had today for fixing a huge order mistake and no communication from past ownership. Thanks again!
Let me first start off by saying I have waited weeks to write this review, contacted them repeatedly and tried posting one on their site which will probably never see the light of day. I thought they would stand behind their product but here we are... no customer service, suppressed negative reviews and a beat up 45lb plate. I would not have purchased from them had I known. 2nd order from Barbell's and both arrived within a week or less. The 45's/35's fit the Olympic bar perfectly-no rattling around or sticking while putting the weights on/off. Great product, exact weights and perfect fit!
