barbara jean's restaraunt is excellent southern cooking This is one of my favorite restaurants in SC. The seafood is very fresh with big portions and the warm pumpkin bread is to die for. I even ordered Barbara J's cookbook. The restaurant has a nice feel and the service is great (servers are very attentive). Looking forward to my next visit!
My family has been to Barbara Jean's many times here in Beaufort. The restaurant is clean, the service is very fast, and the atmosphere is great..semi casual. They even have outdoor seating for romantic dinners! We have always been met with friendly faces and great service. The food is outstanding..real southern home cooking at it's finest. barbara jeans the best in down south homecookin. they've got pumpkin bread and jalepeno corn bread that'll knock your socks off. they've got the best crabcakes in the lowcountry. they're cheap, and good, and friendly, and fillin. if you don't eat anywhere else in beaufort, eat here.
