I’ve had a very frustrating experience as a new patient trying to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ramlo-Halsted. When I first called the office, I was told that my family doctor needed to fax a referral letter along with my previous lab results before I could be seen. My family doctor faxed everything on August 14, 2025, but when I followed up a week later, the office said nothing had been received. Very disorganized front office - for example, it took 2 months to get a prescription for a glucose sensor refilled. Every time I called (every other day) I had to re-explain the entire situation. Do not recommend.
I'm not sure what happened to this office, but my son has been a patient for years. He started having extreme low blood sugars (like 5+ a day) and has been trying to call/get into the office to see the DR for WEEKS and cannot get anyone to call back. How is this even allowed. You have a DIABETIC patient, having severe hypoglycemia episodes and he can't even get the doctor or nurse to call back. Dr. Ramlo-Halsted is good and knows her stuff. The administration of the office leaves a lot to be desired. I needed to get lab orders sent to me and FAX was the only way they could do it. Hello? Fax? People do banking, shopping, tele-counseling, contracts, taxes --- all on-line. Fax is the only solution they have to me getting my lab work done close to home?
