Lucky is such a solid East Village bar. I went on a Wednesday around 8pm and it had the perfect neighborhood vibe—busy but not overwhelming. I grabbed a beer-and-shot combo and my friend had a margarita. Both were strong and reasonably priced. The backyard patio is a huge plus and makes it feel more relaxed than most spots nearby. Definitely one of my go-to casual bars.
This bar has a sleek, Japanese-inspired atmosphere with beautiful lighting, comfortable seating, and a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe. Cocktails were creative and expertly crafted (the yuzu highball and the spicy margarita were highlights). Shared the crispy rice and tuna crudo; both were delicious. Staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. Total around $20-30 per person. A wonderful spot for cocktails!
It is unfortunate that Amanda was our server because I strongly believe we would've had a positive experience in the hands of a different staff member. Despite the bar being at nearly half capacity, you could tell Amanda was annoyed by our party of eight the moment we arrived.
