Bar Goto is one of the few Japanese cocktail bars in the whole of New York City. Using elements like miso and sake, Kenta gives the cocktails a definite Asian spin. Along with these innovative and unique cocktails, the place also offers a number of Japanese finger foods and comfort dishes cooked up by chef Kiyo Shinoki. Amazing! It was just like my imagination. The server and the bartender, Capucine, were so nice throughout our stay and, specially for me, who has been wanting to visit this bar for forever, made it wonderful. The drinks (Amaro Highball, Kimino Plum Water and the Michelada) and the veggie okonomiyaki were all superb and i wish I could live here just to keep coming on the regular. Thank you so much!
At the time of my visit (a few years back), I enjoyed the ambiance. The appetizers were filling yet, they felt light. The Cucumber-watermelon cooler & Far East side drinks were refreshing & they didn’t taste too sugary.

Lively Japanese-inspired bar with a vibrant atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the staff delivered quick and welcoming service. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and there were flavorful non-alcoholic drinks available as well. A standout feature is their impressive selection of sake and shochu. The wings were another highlight — crispy, flavorful, and satisfying.
