My father passed into glory last night. Words cannot express how grateful we have been for the care he received in the Skilled Unit. The nurses and aides are truly God's angels in action. We enjoyed getting to know them. God bless them all for their caring, loving ways.
Bob and I moved to Golden Oaks 6 1/2 years ago. It is like being on vacation. Neighbors become "family", we have very good entertainment, we have church services in our beautiful chapel, indoor swimming pool, walk path around 2 lakes, many card games and bingo, best library with a fantastic librarian, wonderful seasonal decorations, good food, and living areas from retirement village to all the way to nursing home. I went to Golden Oaks Skilled Unit for physical therapy following my knee replacement. I got excellent care & especially liked that I could go to the Atrium for my meal if I desired. Since then, my mother has been there to rehab. She received excellent care also, & especially loved the fact that she made so many new friends. They have lots of activities to participate in & the Chapel on Sunday's are really awesome. She was anxious to go back to her own home, but sure hated to leave her new friends.
