The hospital staff left me in more pain, than when I got there. Large bruises on both arms and hand from blood draws and IV. I pushed call button because I needed to use the restroom, but was attached to IV. No one ever came to check on me until it was time for release. Waited nearly 6 hours for the DR. When he finally arrived only stayed for about 5 minutes.
I was at the ER today with my elderly mother who was brought by ambulance from her assisted living facility. I was there for several hours while they did testing & ultimately admitted her. I was told by an ER nurse a doctor would speak to us about her test results but this never happened. No one gave us any testing information. When we left her room we stopped back by the ER & asked about her condition & were told the doctor was too busy to see us & they couldn’t give us any information. Last night’s experience at Baptist Hospital was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was unacceptable. Staff came across as rude, dismissive, and completely lacking the empathy you would expect in a healthcare setting. People go to the hospital because they need help—often when they’re already in pain, stressed, and vulnerable. To be treated poorly on top of that only makes the situation worse. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE !!!! I took my husband here yesturday after our doctor said to. We sat for hours in waiting room they did ekg , and wanted blood but he had just done blood at our doctors office he said he would if he had to but they told him he didn’t have to then after hours in waiting room we left . Now it’s a new day and we call our doctors office to find out they put down that he denied testing and they were just gonna let us sit in the waiting room and not be seen. Went to Baptist ER for severe rash and allergic reaction. Doctor didn't seem to care about my condition. Never did hands on exam. Barely listened to my issues. Just said ER couldn't do much and gave me dose of steroids. Then sent me home. Ended having to go another ER for treatment. Would give zero stars if possible.
