My grandmother in law had a clear case of shingles (that I could recognize as a Pediatrician myself) and was sent to the Baptist ED from UC due to concern for eye involvement. Not only were they the last to be seen by others who appeared to be lower acuity, but the ED provider told her it was impetigo (incorrect) and sent a prescription for amoxicillin (also, incorrect management). The staff was quick and thorough, very kind. I have to give 3 stars because the waiting room was BLARING Fox "news". They happened to be vilifying trans people as I sat to wait. My blood was boiling. I went in for chest pains, and the extremely loud bigotry wasn't helping.
I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Baptist hospital east ER yesterday, Sunday, Feb 1. They were so very caring with my 91 year old mom. They were gentle, thorough, and as informative as they could be. Every person we came in contact with was professional and most importantly kind. So, thank you for all the work you do.
They are no longer affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Association nor the Southern Baptist Convention. Just cashing in on the credibility of the word Baptist. They do have two useable chapels
