About this business

When you step into Banyan Bar+ Refuge, you will immediately understand why it has been named so. Deep wooden furnishing contrasts the leaf-green seating and twisted branches hang overhead, making this dimly-lit restaurant a lively yet intimate dining experience. Asian fusion cuisine is offered here, with dishes like the Takoyaki (braised calamari, nori, aioli, bonito, sweet soy glaze), Warm Octopus Salad, Beef Tongue Buns, Fried Pig Tails and the Warm Lobster Bun on the menu. Love Banyan for so many reasons but very disappointed that they took the salt and pepper shrimp off the menu! It was one of the best dishes in Boston!

Banyan is one of my wife and my favorite spots in the South End. The service is always top tier with amazing food, especially the lobster rolls/bao buns, crab rangoon, and Dan Dan noodles. Definitely recommend.
