I had an extremely disappointing experience at Banou International Foods. I was shocked to discover that the staff was cutting halal meat with pork meat. When I caught the person in the act, it was clear that they were not following proper practices. This is not only unprofessional but completely disrespectful to Muslims who rely on halal meat. Always you can find expired merchandise on shelf. I returned told the guy is expired and the guy put it back in cooler.
Great spot for Egyptian products
It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but they had a lot of really interesting foods, and some hard to find spice mixes and ingredients. The man at the counter was happy, smiling, and helpful. I will be returning!
