Dr Lauvao is an outstanding physician. My wife had surgery on a carotid artery. Now I am no doctor, but I know if the carotid is blocked you go unconscious 1. Prior to surgery, the doctor has a conference with us, and carefully details what the surgery entails--basically calming you and indirectly assures you he knows what he is doing. and there will be no problems 2.
