Even if it was an emergency I would still make the drive to reno. The nurses bed side manner in the ER was terrible although the doctor seemed knowledgeable and nice.

I am sitting here with my wife in tears from pain after coming home Banner Lassen Emergency Room the third time in the last 8 days, with extreme pain. Obviously the first two visits did not solve her problem. We had planned on going to Reno for a second opinion but she was in too much pain to make the trip. Today we first meet with a nice RN who made some brief tests, blood pressure, etc. Next came in a “student” PA who talked to my wife for about ten minutes and determined that her problem was constipation. Terrible extent of treatment capabilities! Extreme overpricing, and dishonest policies that prevent immediate care from being provided effectively. Just left with a bill for a few hundred dollars for them to tell me they had the equipment to determine the severity of a sprain and whether I need surgery, but they can’t get me on the schedule without an outside referral, which they can’t provide, and they also can’t justify that particular imagery in the emergency room setting. Came in in pain left in pain was desperate for help with abdominal pain that wasn't figured out labs weren't gone over with me they did ct scan and all was supposed to be clear so they had me leave they blew out my vein by yanking it out hard as hell!! First doc placed it no problem the lady that yanked it left a golf ball size knot on me for over a week this is it now over a week out just go to reno can't wait to see my bill in the mail for the awesome service.
