I ended up in Banner Heart ICU last week after surgery for a blood clot from a routine angiogram. I was given NO discharge orders from my surgeon, NO information on the side effects from the pain meds he prescribed, and no wound care instructions. I even had to ask for my surgeon's name and phone number for follow up! The nurse seemed so anxious to get me out there that she didn't even want me to eat breakfast.
