No stars!! My husband died in August after being told in the er that there was no neurological surgeon at the hospital either here or at Desert Sam. My spouse had alzheimer's and upon falling and vomiting and bring unable to speak or walk was taken to Banner's by ambulance. He us told he was dehydrated so given liquid and sent home with no CT orMRI. He had to return to the hospital the next morning and then to hospice due to a hematoma detected after they finally exrayed him. In essence, they caused his death..
I had a stroke in nov and same symptoms and sittng in er. Facial xroop arm numbness and just waiting.
This is the worst facility in terms of courtesy and effective performance of their job duties. Billing is horrendous and will bill the patient directly just to get the patient to do the dept's job for them and do all the phone and leg work to correct billing that wasn't done correctly in the first place. You call up there and they lie to you, you ask for a supervsr, and they try to lie again and put one of their buddies on the phone....I am calling my attorney in the morning...maybe they will listen to her...
NO STARS!!!! My wife was just taken by ambulance to this place , we are new to Mesa and arizona so we just went to closest place. She was suffering horrible stomache pains traveling all the way around her mid section. i have been here with our dog getting updates via texts from her. She is in the hall with 9 people ahead of her after being there 2 hours!. the firemen and other first responders were AWESOME !!!!!!!!! NO STARS!! The single worst ER visit ever with unfathomable ineptitude & a prime example of elder abuse. My father came by an ambulance after falling & complaining of rib pain. He was Xrayed & after a couple of hours was returned to the area where my family was waiting. He has Alzheimers & came into the ER with an incontinence product in place. He was laying in cold urine when he came back to us. We had to ask repeatedly for help as we did not bring one with us. They finally cleaned him up, but still no incontinence product.... read more
I just gave birth to my second baby born in this hospital, and both times I was very pleased with the labor and delivery unit. The nurses were very knowledgeable and friendly, and I felt that everything went smoothly. I recommend the l&d unit at this hospital.
