Appaling service. Been with them for 29 years and these days the staff on the phone are abysmal and .lack any knowledge. I needed to pay $5000 for a new automatic transmission for my car. Plenty of money on my Visa card but it kept getting declined The chick on the phone was telling me that I need to change my password and can only do it via the App. I don't have the App, don't want the App and was definitely not setting it up while sitting in the car workshop with three mechanics listening in, all waiting to go home. Have been banking with BV for over 30 years. Undoubtedly the best bank in Australia. Excellent service from very experienced staff. Cannot fault. 😀
I’ve been with this bank since 2005, over 20 years now, and honestly, the only thing they’re good for is holding my salary account. Tried to get a credit card—application form took 20 minutes, failed anyway. Went to Commonwealth, finished in under 5 minutes, approved just as fast. Tried refinancing a home loan to get 4k cash back—left messages three times, got one call back, applied, and then… silence. Never heard from them again. With so many good banks out there, why bother sticking around? Time to move on
Very good bank. Careful usage of accounts means u can avoid all fees. Just draw money from Aldi, Coles, Woolworths etc. Simple. Deposit via Post Office free, but must make your own Q code first. Very good rates for loans etc. Only for Emergency Services and their families friends,etc. So if u know anyone you can join.
