We had a service tech from Banks out to our house to look a two appliances. After 10 minutes he used the guess approach and told us what we needed. He followed up with, if the parts he replaces do not solve the problem we still have to pay for them. So we paid for the service call. We then had another company come out and this tech pulled out his volt meter and checked things out properly. We did not need the parts that Banks had suggested and our problems are resolved. Lost $65.00 and will not call Banks Appliances again.
I have gotten parts from Banks before, but had not ever used them for a repair until I started having issues with my refrigerator not cooling properly. I called them and they came out the same day. They said it was the freezer fan and installed a new one for $178, which took him less than 15 minutes to install. My fridge still wasn't cooling, so I called them again and they said my cooling control settings were wrong. I set my controls like they told me to, but the fridge still wouldn't cool. Called this company twice and set up a day for them to fix my washer. They said they would call before they come.. Stayed home both days and received no call nor did they come by . I even called them to set another appointment ,still no show or call..Very poor service..The cable people are better...
Excellent company to work with. Very friendly and more helpful than they need to be. They save me $ almost every time I go in; and I've been getting my parts (and free advise) from them since they opened. Great job.
