Well, they closed my bank account for no reason, after nine months. Never overdrafted, never did anything wrong. Kept a positive balance. In fact, this was the best banking discipline I've EVER had. Anyways, banks are part of the beast, after all. Don't ever forget that. They're all the same, evil, lustful, greedy, illusions of control that everyone is in love with... except me.
Poor customer service. Charge large fees, out of network atm charges are too high. Not personable. Had issues traveling and having card shut down repeatedly even after contacting support multiple times. Hold times when calling 1800 support number are long, no quick help available when traveling outside of business hours.
If you like being treated as a second class citizen by someone who barely speaks English . . . this is the bank for you.
Would leave 0 stars if possible.So I'm completely down with small businesses/banks but I honestly have never had such problems/lack of help from a bank as I have with bank of the west.Alot of banks in town have closed their lobby/closed completely and I was turned down from simply attempting to attain a roll of quarters as I do not ha e an account at bank of the west and my bank is closed.There has been multiple times dealing with this bank with them being completely inconsiderate and running things like no other bank I have... read more
