Coming from the Fillmore location and this location needs to do better. 3-4 staff members at 2pm and only 1-2 seemed to be able to help their two customers…. The older lady at the window was in a rush to get to the patient behind me before I was done speaking to her so definitely felt her rushing me all for them to still make me wait since they decided to help the woman that was in line behind me that was also there for a replacement card. I needed a checking account and made it to this bank 2 hours before they were to close. Unfortunately, the three staff members of this Bank could not help me open a basic checking account even though I was the only customer. I made an appointment for the next day and came in at the designated time. Even though I had a valid California state driver's license and a large cash initial deposit, they were still unable to create a basic checking account for me. Nope! I moved to Ventura @ 5 months ago and needed a local bank for money orders, bill pay, transfers, etc. (We previously used TD bank, which is an East Coast jawn, I guess). Well, I've been repeatedly dissatisfied and disappointed with the Bank of the Sierra: They've had "computer problems/computer system down," and the ATM has been OOO too many times (imho) in the short few months since I opened my account here.
