I became a victim of fraudsters. I was sent a check from (as it turned out later) an account that was closed and had no funds. bofa accepted the check, and only a week later they notified me that the check was not legit and that now I am obliged to pay off the debt with MY money. I contacted the police with a statement, there is a case now, there is the full name of the owner of the closed account from which I was issued an illegitimate check, and nevertheless the bank requests these funds from ME! I came in with my baby and was told the wait time would be 30 to 40 minutes. I ended up waiting for nearly 3 hours, which was exhausting and unacceptable — especially with a young child. No one communicated any updates, no one apologized for the delay, and after all that time, I was simply told, “Can you come back another day?” This is incredibly frustrating, disrespectful of my time, and shows a serious lack of organization and customer care.
