Do NOT come here if you expect basic customer service—like closing your account. I was told, “everyone is on lunch,” and instead of helping, they tried to hand me a phone number they didn’t even have ready. No effort, no urgency, no ownership—just pass the problem off and move on. It’s clear the priority here is pushing customer numbers, not actually supporting the people already banking with them. If you value your time or expect professionalism, go somewhere else.
I went in for assistance getting my checking account linked to eBay so I can collect payments. I have tried Customer Service several times, both eBay's and B of A's, and over the phone assistance hasn't successfully resolved my problem. I recently switched from US Bank to Bank of America. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have switched. Basically, I am being “punished” for being a new client. I have auto-pay set up for my paycheck and my company was not able to switch my banking information before the April 1 pay period. They had to send me a paper check that I went through the Tacoma, WA branch drive-through this morning to deposit.
