I made an appointment to open a business account on Tuesday. It took almost 2 hours!! I needed a voided check or a bank letter for my direct deposits from my merchant. They don't have counter checks lol. I asked for a bank letter, it couldn't have been easier. I was told the letter has to from corporate?? Friday, I get a call from the bank manager, he said they don't have any "letterhead" at the bank and it can be done in 72 hours. Are you kidding me? I have always heard bad things about BofA, but I finally got to see it for myself. I got a check from somebody, and left work early to get here before they close (at 4 before all of the other banks I've used) because BofA was the ISSUING bank of the check. In the last 25 years, any time I've needed to cash a check but my bank is not nearby, I can easily do it at the issuing bank. Not Bank of America! Made an appointment for notary. Gentleman was on time polite and I was done in 10 minutes. I recommend going here than the one on the corner of 92nd street and Shea. They are too busy and very slow
Since reopening (post-pandemic0 this branch has been great. The interior was updated. It's well staffed with people who are friendly and service oriented. Good parking and easy to get in and out of.
