I visited the Bank of America branch at 46 S River Road today, and I want to appreciate Jazmin Rivera for her outstanding help. She was incredibly kind, patient, and explained every detail step-by-step, which means a lot, especially for someone who is new to the U.S. banking system. This used to be my favorite branch. Now I wouldn't go here again if my life depended on it. I needed my signature notarized on a state form. First they told me that I had to come back in an hour even though there were no other customer in the branch and the notary was in house. When I came back, she refused to notarize my signature claiming that she had to review the whole document. The contents were none of her business. So I left, came home, and looked up the law. Let’s forget about the lack of locations, locations that are closed, and difficulty in speaking with anyone. I had an account for more than 6 years. I finally switched banks and had about $130 in my account. Being 90 minutes from Bank of America, the money sat there. Over the last eight months not only did I get charged for having the account, there were extra fees on top of that, when it got to a negative balance.
