They come by their low stars honestly - stay away from this bank - they are in no way customer oriented.
I have a joint mortgage with my husband and they won't let me access my tax documents online even though WI is a community property state. It doesn't matter that I was the original customer 35 years ago, my paycheck is the direct deposit, and they have no problem accepting my house payment each month, etc. We also have an excellent credit rating and wanted to refinance our home equity (we owe half of what our house is worth) and we received a denial. We're starting to move accounts to a bank that appreciates us.
I have been banking with Associated since 1997. I had a weird month with extra expenses I was not expecting. I had a few transfers from my savings to my checking to cover the extra expenses. I then received a notice that if I make any more transfers they would be at 6.00 each! So you want to charge me to move MY money from one account to another?
