I first went to a different mechanic for a simple tire swap and was hit with a long list of supposed major issues — they told me my rocker panels and undercarriage were rusted through, said I needed a full exhaust replacement from the manifold back, and even suggested I start car shopping because it “wouldn’t pass inspection.” The kicker?
