Our horrible Banfield experience started at the downtown San Diego Banfield office. We brought up a concerning bump on her ear every couple of weeks for months, and our vet assured us every time that it was nothing. Even after testing it and telling us that it was nothing, we begged for further tests. It was not until 5 months later at Houston Banfield, that we found out it was cancerous. Dr. Nimo was great but now I want to get the service in different place and I want to give me or even sell me the medication for the heartworms prevention of 9 of my 11 dogs they want me to bring the dogs again to be check when they have their records and the last pill I gave to them in September so even to buy the dose for October they don’t want just for more money. Took our rabbit after she had a claw fall out. Dr. K was great and was very kind and honest with his answers. The clinic was clean and all the employees we talked to were nice. We will be going back.
Everyone I met and talked to at Banfield was very professional and friendly. They took time to listen to my concerns and answer the questions I had prior to the vetting. After the procedures were done, they explained what was done, home care that needed to be done and follow up care. Everyone was very knowledgeable in what needed to be done and then what was done. I was very pleased with the vetting my pups received.
Very professional and wonderful with the pups. Dr explained procedure and how to care for fosters teeth to avoid losing more. Pups had no issues from teeth cleaning. Would recommend.
My rescue had several dogs vetted at this hospital and I was extremely impressed by two things. 1. the thoroughness of the examination and 2. the willingness of the vets and techs to completely explain complex procedures. All of the techs were very knowledgeable, knew how to handle "angry" little dogs and knew when to get the vet to explain more detailed things. Could not be happier.
I found the facility and staff to be extremely informative, organized, and an overwhelming amount of compassion for the animals they care for . Enthusiastic to help and answer any and all questions above and beyond .
