Vets only here for a paycheck. Don't care about your dogs or cat. Ready and willing to take your money and act like they care but they don't. Be warned

I have 7 rescue dogs. All go to Banfield pet hospital in niskayuna new york. One of my dogs just passed due to kidney failure. Banfield niskayuna couldn't even call me and give me their condolences.....absolutely nothing from but they were there to take my money every month. You would think they would more sympathy since they act like they love animals. Fake vets

This is a review after several years of terrible service at Banfield. From 2009-2023. You might wonder why we stayed with Banfield if we've had such bad experiences, but due to traveling and not having any other options with another chain, we stayed with Banfield. They have always been about business and very salesy rather than actually caring about the animals. I feel like it’s important to note that I’m generally an agreeable person and I’ve never written a bad review before. My dog, Roo, recently passed away. We s... read more

BEWARE OF BANFIELD PET HOSPITALS NATIONWIDE IN THE USA!!!!!!!! TRULY A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience with Banfield Pet Hospital int eh hopes of preventing other pet owners from going through the same TRAUMATIC ordeal. My beloved super healthy 4 year old dog suffered immensely due to their negligence and protocols or should i say lack of, including lack of proper care. My nightmare began when i took my pet to Banfield for a routine dental cleaning, his first one and most likely last... read more

Banfield misdiagnosed my dog, telling me she needed knee surgery to the cost of over $6000. They also said she had severe arthritis and spinal damage . My dog was 2 years old. I took her back to the original vet - drive from Florida back to Georgia and was told she was misdiagnosed. I even thought and spoke to Banfield about putting her to sleep. I had signed up for their optimum wellness care and still was charged Emergency visit rates and higher than normal rates. I’ve asked to be let out if the contract- spoken with ... read more

The Wellness Program at Banfield is bogus, and only adds to Banfield Corporation’s bottom line; making Money is their only objective! A pet parent is inextricably tied to the program no matter what the circumstances may be. I was charged for an entire additional year,$555.00, because I wanted to get my pet’s meds from Chewy. Do not get taken into this program.

I have the Banfield insurance and everytime I take my dog the bill is anywhere from $200-$400. My dog’s dental cleaning cost me over $600. Not worth it. Will be cancelling and going back to my dentist that I trust.

Not only did our pet puppy die hours after leaving Banfield ( We were told he was fine): we are now being told that we have to continue paying $70 a month or buyout his term for $300. If a dog dies, there is no dog to service. We shouldnt have to continue paying for insurance for a dog that's no longer alive. I guess Banfield has a Hospital in Heaven where they are still servicing our dog. Absolutely ridiculous. Most places don't do this. They never told us about this policy. BEWARE
