Banfield in Irving: A Good Choice I have taken numerous cats and large dogs to Dr. Oehler and am pleased with her treatment of them. My dogs are Rottweiler, Dalmatian, Lab, Boxer mixes. She has a good touch with them and they love her to death...even when she's expressing their glands! I have gone to four other vets over the last 25 years and like her the best. The facility in Irving is extremely clean and the staff knows what they are doing.
Convenient but lacking warmth This Banfield is located in the local Petsmart and has some nice office staff. Dr. Ohler is the doctor on staff and although she is very knowledgeable, she has NO "bedside manner". She is very biased in what breeds of dog she likes so if you have a controversial breed [pit bull, doberman, german shepherd], you will not be happy here. She is also very biased about cats and lectures pet owners like small children when the owners question her thought process.
Dr Ohler is great – Dr Ohler spoted a hard to diagnos problem with my pet. She consulted with 3 other Banfield docs across the nation. They recomended a non Bainsfield Internal medicine doc and non Bainfield sugeron even though she is a good sugeron. My boy is alive and happy.
