Do not use Banfield Wellness Plan. After spending thousands of dollars to try to save our beloved pet. We canceled our plan because our companion passed away and Banfield tried to charge us an additional $459.00 because we renewed our plan, not knowing our beloved "child" would pass away. There Are Much Better Vets in Ocala We had brought our dogs to Banfield for years. They had previously had a female vet who was very good, but she left. Unfortunately, we stayed with Banfield. In 2004, we brought our healthy 6-year-old dog in for a routine dental cleaning at Banfield. She died during the procedure. The vet in charge was Dr. Eduardo Arellano. Obviously, we never went back. Convenience Banfield Vet is located on the premises of Petsmart in Ocala on College Road. The best thing I can say about Banfield is that it is very convenient, making it easy to shop for food and other items for your pet in one stop. The negative part of Banfield is the lack of help and wait for service.
No More Corporate Owned Animal Clinics The people that work @ Banfield are very nice, however, it is a corporate owned clinic and they are pressured in to pushing medications and treatments that may not be necessary! Plus, I took my dogs there several times and not once did I receive a follow up call to see how they were. I miss Dr Addison, in Lake City! Banfield review One star is too many for Banfield, they are scammers and money motivated!!!! Run away FAST. THEY KILLED TWO OF OUR DOGS. We have paid for over 9 years for the Banfield wellness plan, $150 a month for 3 dogs, totaling over $16,000 all to Banfield. All of our dogs went to a Banfield vet. RecommendedMy puppy seems happy and not afraid. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to love animals. The prices are good and they get you in fast.

I originally took my dog here because of the multiple locations and the later office hours during the week and weekend hours. This quickly proved to not be worth it. While giving my dog Simparica Trio we noticed he became extremely sick within 24 hours. The first time this happened we did not even think about the meds we had given him and spent $700 for blood-work, x-rays, and a vet visit to be told he just had an upset stomach. I was very dissatisfied with the information I received over the phone and what transpired during my visit regarding cost. I was told one price and when I got there after driving 50 minutes I was charged over DOUBLE quoted on the phone.
