Got to see Herman the Merman, and bought some awesome Canadian -made slippers and gloves.
Wonderful shop full of beautiful items. I stop by every chance I get just to check out all the unique pieces and the Merman! The staff are really kind and amazing. Truly a great store to visit. I even had great experience shopping online. The store reached out to make sure I got the right sizing before sending out my item. Couldn't be happier!!
All the way at the end of a lovely walk down Banff Ave, past a scenic bridge, lies the Banff Trading Post. A great place to pick up beaded earrings and other handcrafted items. The hoodie I was eyeing was oos though. The staff was helpful too.
A Cultural Experience… If That Culture Is Frontierland at Christmas. If you’re looking for authentic Indigenous craftsmanship in Banff, the Banff Trading Post is… a store that definitely exists. If you’re looking for a Disney-Frontierland gift shop that’s been lightly dusted with “Native-inspired” branding and heavily stocked with items made in China — jackpot.
