She was cared for in a thorough manner, received diagnostics, a review with the pharmacist for medication, and discharged all within 3 hours. All of this on Christmas Eve! For Canadian health care, this was an amazing experience. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors in this little gem of a hospital.
As an American, this was an awful experience. I felt belittled and one of the doctors was disrespectful. I hope to never need another Emergency visit in Canada.
I was taken into emergency on November 30, 2024 for a leg injury. I was very impressed and relieved at how the attending physician and nurses looked after me, thank you 😊
Unless you have Alberta Health as your insurance provider, you will not be seen without paying two fees. A $300 Doctor’s Fee, and an $1100 hospital fee. We walked into the emergency room past folks crying outside who were sick but couldn’t afford to be seen by the clinic.
As a man in my 50s, i continue to use my 25 yr old brain to " ride like I'm free " until my left shoulder, which is now in a sling... Isn't..(we did ride 135 km in 3 rides in my defense)..lol. My son said , " It was cool as i came around the corner on top-notch run, and I could see your feet kicking in the air as you rolled over the bars ! " .. kids..
