I contacted Balz Woodworking regarding questions I had while doing a DIY project on my kitchen cabinets. I spoke with Kevin who was extremely helpful and was able to work magic with boring hinges into my old cabinet doors, which were narrow and had a very small overlay. I've never had any serious work done by them, but in my one experience, they're excellent people. I cold-called them recently and asked them if they would run a single board through the jointer for me, a college student with no real tools of my own. No questions asked and they immediately said yes. I brought the piece down and they ran it through without charging me a dime. They said it was a Christmas gift.
