Service at the wedding and the bar was really good.. food was really good.. Our room was pretty small and you could hear people next to us.. it was cute yet so different. For the price, I did expect much more..
The Balsam Lake Lodge is a lovely lakefront resort with warm and friendly staff. Unfortunately we were assigned the “First Island” room which was the only interior room with NO WINDOWS. The room was clean and the bed was great, but it was like sleeping in a coal mine or a sensory deprivation tank. This colored our experience; I’m sure if we had been in another room it would have been a five star review. We were so impressed with the beautiful room and lake views we decided to stay another night. McKenna was so amazing helping us get our room booked as we just walked in around 3:30 to book a room. She helped light our fire at night. We met fabulous local people and had the best time!! Hoping to come back soon!!
