Located on Main Street of the quaint mountain town of Sylva NC, Balsam Falls Brewing offers an excellent array of local brews. For this visit both of us ordered BFBC's version of an amber ale, Petrified Dragonfly. Cool name and a great beer! My wife ordered the eponymous smash burger with two patties. We just returned from Balsam Falls Brewing and it was a terrible experience. First off we seated ourselves at the bar and were greeted shortly afterwards, then the long wait started. After a long time a second barmaid after taking orders from the people to our right that arrived after us and another couple that probably waited awhile also she took our order. We love this place! Great beer and great atmosphere!
Out of towners stopping at a random place for lunch. Staff was very friendly. Smash burger was excellent and the onion rings were to die for. Great selection of draft beer served nice and cold. We would frequent this place often if we were locals.
