When I first installed their regulator they were great and tech support was helpful. Today they are not. I replaced a couple year old smartshunt with their new NMEA capable smartshunt. They do not send updated install instructions, they don’t have them online, and tech support doesn’t answer the phone or call you back. Their email support is less than helpful.
Work there
Put a Balmar 250 alternator on my sailboat and the customer service is absolutely outstanding. As long as it takes they’ll help you get it done right. VERY knowledgeable and patient support staff.
Place is very clean, the people in the office was very helpful, the Mexican in the shop really answered all my questions and told me how to repair my boat ,great bunch of people
Tom, in Technical Support, was very kind and helpful. I have an old Balmar HS-10 Marine / RV Water Heater that is no longer beginning made. In fact, I found an 1996 Cruising Magazine with an advertisement of the water heater. Tom poked around his office, found an old binder that had information, limited perhaps, but more than I had which is nothing. Tom scanned and emailed the information they have. This is more than customer service. This was pure kindness. Thank you.
