We’ve had our daughter enrolled in the Ballinger Shoreline KinderCare for a little over 6 months. Overall the experience has been great. Jill, the center director, is very responsive and knowledgeable about her center and the staff who provide care. Often Jill is in the hallway greeting kids and parents by name, or she is in the classrooms providing support or coaching for teachers and that goes a long way. (updated June 2025) - extra update in June 2025: Instead of saying to the kids, "if you're not coming inside, you don't get lunch" (threatening these 3 year olds) --- teachers/staff need to learn peaceful and fun transactions that get hte kids excited to line up - nice songs about lining up - rewareded with stickers? Turn it into fun times, not scary. This is just teacher education. Transitions can be fun - not threats every time. Our son absolutely loves going to this daycare everyday! We are very thankful for the director, entire team for their dedication and kindness. It is truly a nurturing and positive environment. We highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a caring and supportive place for their child.
After over a year of giving this place a try, they can't provide a safe place for my daughter. We tried so hard to love it and make it work - but we moved to somewhere nearby, cheaper, better. Packs and packs of staff keep quitting and its not safe for kids right now IMO. They are crying at drop off nonstop because their favorite teachers continue to quit and they never get a feeling of safety or comfort. It's not good now. I hope their corporate leadership can step in and save this place.
