Never again will I step foot in that place. Unprofessional, cruel, neglectful and vindictive behaviour by certain individuals. One doctor in particular is a very nasty, abusive individual. Even my GP said that he should be reported. Absolutely disgusting behaviour towards the elderly in that emergency department. They are viewed as a waste of space that shouldn't be taking up their beds. If you have an elderly parent, or have a long term health condition that isn't acute, then avoid this place. Fantastic helpful culture from all professionals and staff. Very friendly, go out of their way. So happy, as a visiting family member, with the care and service provided to my ageing dad.
Long waiting, very unprofessional We are here waiting for 3 hours and still here
The care might be ok but no excuses for total lack of communication and that it’s impossible to get through to General Ward as nobody will pick up the phone. Tried to phone for 3 days after my mother was admitted after a fall but could not get through and no-one contacted myself or relatives to advise what was happening.
