Parks & Recreations For All....Ballast Point Park Ballast Point Park is located in South Tampa by the Hillsborough Bay. Taking the drive down Bayshore Beautiful is very scenic as you see rows and rows of mansions that house some of Tampa's wealthy and elite. You can also rollerblade down the boulevard or take in some jogging exercise. Once you reach the brick paved streets and the trees that canopy overhead you are almost at the park. I enjoy having picnics by the sea wall, and have had my kids birthday parties in the gazebo... read more

you can even fish off the pier here Ballast point park is very easy to get to. You just follow Bayshore all the way down and you will come to the pier. I love to fish here because when my daughter gets board my wife can take her over to the playground. They have a bait shop, boat ramp, concession, bathrooms, pavillions, and a great playground for the kids.

relax ballast point park is a little piece of relaxation right near the hussle and bussle of the city. The park is really clean and I have never seen any litter. This is a fabulous place for a picnic or birthday party. Also they have a lovely playground for the little ones and lots of space to go biking or walking. This park is also free from the congestion you might find at other parks PROS: relaxation CONS: none
