Very few people know that Ballard Sails & Yacht Services is also known for their chapstick. My lips were so dry they were BLEEDING so I walked inside and inquired whether they had any chapstick. The lovely employees put some Burt's bees on a popsicle stick while also explaining how their sewing machine setup worked and then I was back on my way. Fantastic end-to-end customer service. Unfortunately I am not in the market for sails at this time but I will be returning for chapstick.
I had a frustrating experience with Ballard Sails. I returned sails for repairs, followed their recommendation not to repair them, and opted for a new system. Only after the fact was I told I’d be charged again for inspecting the same sails. When I raised this, the conversation became defensive and escalated into an uncomfortable, borderline aggressive interaction. Despite any competence, I cannot recommend them. I left feeling disrespected, and I won’t be bringing my business back.

Wow! Fantastic help with kite and wing (and sail) repair. Alicia was so generous in helping me decide the best repair for a puncture.
