Thanks Again Great, I feel very comfortalbe with both Dr. Ballard and her staff. She also has great practicioners and I had yet to wait for a long period of time before seeing someone. She also shares well with the other Dr.'s on staff the center. If you're not feeling will it's a great place to start feeling better.
Great hospital - wonderful care received I have gone to St. Joseph's Hospital a few times this past year and have been very satisfied with my care. The doctors are very friendly and knowledgable, and they took the time to listen. I've been to the two bigger hospitals in Eau Claire and I'd choose St. Joe's over either one of them. Even for a very serious problem the doctors at St. Joe's were exceptional.
Just OK Had to go here for an emergency and the wait was long. We were put in a room and waited for a long time to be seen. It was almost like they forgot about us. The nurses were very helpful. The hospital was up to date and very clean.
Not a place to deliver A "heathcare crisis" in malpractice insurance has caused all the obstetricians and the hospital to change their policies. Do not deliver here unless you welcome a planned cesarean! The hospital itself is in nice condition, it is somewhat off the beaten path and the grounds are nicely landscaped. The staff is nice enough, and it appears to be clean most times we've visited. But, the blatant fear of VBACs turned me off immediately.
Not my first preference This place can take care of minor injuries / procedures, but for any major emergencies i would definately drive a few extra miles to the other hospital. Drs in the ER don't seem to have the time to deal with many patients or the knowledge of things.
