I am from Tasmania - only arrived in Ballarat at 9pm and had to call an ambulance only 8 hours later having woken up with severe pain in my chest. I had to leave my husband (I am his carer) alone in our motorhome in the caravan park. The staff went out of their way - even delivering food to him via taxi - to thoroughly investigate what was wrong with me and get me back to him. I cannot speak highly enough of all staff, specialists, nursing, radiology…. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Avoid if you have a newborn with a rash go straight to STjohns. Otherwise you'll be waiting 6+ hours. We decided to go to STjohns after an hour waiting as others had been there for over 8 hours. Got seen straight away. Transfered to the base childrens ward anyway. I was always told by medical professionals that they prioritise newborns/children but i don't think thats true.

After a fall and a tough time, my mother in law was given professional, personal and genuine care. The nurses and admin were so caring and helpful to us. I thank Joy on the admin counter for her kindness. Sadly i cant remember many other names of people who helped us. MIL isn't out of the woods yet, but I have no concerns that she is in the best hands. Thanks everyone for easing our stress on a tough day.
