What an amazing Emergency department. My daughter visited after hurting her ankle. She was seen straight away and her ankle was x-rayed to check to see if it was broken. Fortunately it was a sprain and a compression sock was given. The Emmergency nurse Gemma was brilliant so kind and knowledgeable. Infact all the staff were lovely. Back home we would gave waited in and out in 30 mins. Thank you lovely Orkney NHS x

After a really frightening allergic reaction I was rushed to hospital thank you to the 3 wonderful nurses and doctors without your knowledge and experience I feel lucky to be alive today. Thank you NHS for all your hard work and dedication to the community. While we sleep you safe life's.

If you’re a traveler, expect to get no help here. My doctor at home advised me to get a follow-on antibiotic for a fairly urgent issue because I won’t be back in my home country for 5 days. I waited 3 hours at this general practice, only to be told they won’t help me and I should try at another town on my journeys. This is impossible (I am on a guided group tour and don’t get into towns until 5 or 6 pm when everything is already closed; today was my only chance) which I told them, but just got a shrug - didn’t care, not thei... read more

Had an appointment today. The deep snow which fell last night had been cleared so everyone could park and access the hospital. Huge effort. Thank you guys
