Working with Ryan Heisinger and Baldwin General Contracting, Inc, was a dream right from the start. We've had similar experiences as other subcontractors have mentioned. They invited us to give a call, but have not practiced this open-ness to talk in real life (for example, they no-call no-showed at a third party mediation that they scheduled). We were also informed by Baldwin that they have been through mediations dozens and dozens of times, and that it would be unwise of us to insist on being paid the full amount our records show we are owed.
Yohn informed us that he has been through mediation dozens and dozens of times, so we should probably just lick our wounds and move on. With dozens of mediations, I don't know what percent of projects that consists of, but that sounded like a lot to me! Seems like it would be wise to proceed with caution.
