I cannot recommend Ballwin EMC enough. I came down to my new house after a long 15 hour drive and move from Missouri to realize I never got ahold of Ballwin for set up. They came during after hours and got me and my dogs cooled down and hooked up with electric. I cannot thank them enough and their Member Service team!! -Alyssa Johnson
Huge lack of transparency of their fees, and the clerks can't even find the monthly fees they charge us on the contract or website ($44.95, except the clerk kept changing the amount on the phone because she doesn't know either- she works there and she expects us to know?-, "Everybody pays it" is all they could say). You can't get your money back when you find out the truth. They are a lying, stealing, monopolizing company that will wring you out to dry. Very disappointed with our option and the staff in the office.
Horrible experience, trying to turn on electricity to my land for my storage building. They sent out an engineer by the name of Steve Butler. He inspected it gave me a phone call but he started talking way before the answering machine even started recording. Therefore, I did not get his name or an extension. He gave me a phone number to call which is just a general phone number and when you call down there because you don’t know who you’re looking for nobody else knows what you’re looking for so you get the runaround.
