I had a phone appointment with a doctor to get a medical certificate. At no point was I advised that as I hadn’t been physically into the clinic for over 12 months the Medicare rebate wouldn’t apply and I would be charged as a private patient. They charged me private for the phone consult and it wasn’t until I asked them why my Medicare rebate wasn’t sent, that they then told me. I would not revisit this clinic due to this experience.
