Had a great time. The dock guys were on their game and showed us everything perfectly.
Some friends and I rented a couple sea doos and needless to say we had a blast. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Plus, there were two cute pups behind the counter! And who doesn’t love dogs?!? Will definitely be back!
I’ve rented jet skis several times and this place is by far my favorite! The staff in the office and the dock are so helpful, so attentive, and so skilled at explaining the rules and safety aspects. The jet skis are always in perfect shape, and so fun and fast. I tell everyone that visits Newport Beach to rent jet skis from Balboa Watersports!
The location is far from the rideable ocean section so you'll be stuck at 5mph for 20 minutes to the ocean and 20 minutes back They won't tell you if the waves are too choppy so you will find out the hard way like we did It's a scary experience being stuck at 5mph, as the jet ski is programmed to that, and being stuck not being able to get past the choppy waves as the jet ski will not be powerful enough, it really is a recipe for disaster, if you get tossed off the jet ski because of the choppy waves you're on your own with ... read more
