Great location & rooms but that’s where it ends unfortunately,. The new managers are so rude you never want to deal with them. After 15 continuous years here the experience was great up until this year 2025 with these new managers with their pure arrogance! Firstly after speaking to 5 other accommodations while I was in PD, I tried to book for 2026 dates & was told clearly we couldn’t book that far ahead at this time because it was ILLEGAL to do so, yet Balboa managers continually denied this because they had already booked ... read more

Great location and that’s about it. We paid top price for accommodation that was tired and needs a massive overhaul if commanding top dollar. We stayed at apartment No8 on ground floor overlooking the street. Superb spot but inside totally underwhelming. Skimpy essentials that had only been left by previous people. No standard staples. Threadbare toilet paper. Two small cakes of soap btwn 2 bathrooms that had no smell and was the cheapest available. No complementary washing powder. Quite dated apartment block, in a good location close to the beach and main street. Didn't use the pool which was tiny and dated. Spacious enough and clean so served our needs and a reasonable price.
